2nd Line EPOS Administrator

Salary: £32,000-34,000 per annum + up to 30% bonus

Location: Ground Control – Manchester City Centre (just behind Deansgate station!)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Reporting into the IT Support Desk Manager, we're looking for a highly motivated, organised and committed 2nd Line EPOS Administrator to support Mission Mars EPOS systems and infrastructure. The role is based in Manchester city centre but will require infrequent travel to sites around the UK.


What you’ll be doing

  • Provide first & second line EPOS support to all users across the organisation, logging all Incidents and Service Requests accurately and resolving in a timely fashion.
  • Support EPOS technology including tills, printers, software and mobile ordering and payment devices.
  • Setup and maintenance of Menus, Products and Till screens.
  • Resolve issues that are escalated by the support desk.
  • Write work instructions for the support desk and/or users.
  • Be involved and lead EPOS related projects and integrations.
  • Be involved with stock management system configuration and maintenance.
  • Complete weekly reporting to be fed back to the IT Director.
  • Complete site visits and audits.
  • Partake in the out of hours rota, Mon-Sun (addition renumeration on top of base salary).
  • Promote IT best practice and security awareness.
  • Conduct training sessions with end users on EPOS systems.


What we’re looking for

  • You must have at least 2 years of EPOS support experience or in a similar role.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a positive, analytical and committed mindset.
  • Experience in supporting Financial Systems (Cashing up, Stock, payment systems)


Things that would be a great addition!

  • SQL/VB/Data analytics experience
  • IT support experience (Desktop, Network and Infrastructure)
  • BI reporting experience
  • Exposure to Stock Systems (Procure Wizard)
  • Experience conducting training courses (1-2-1 and group training)
