Training &amp; Development Manager - Albert’s Schloss Soho£35,000-39,000 per annum (dependent on experience) &#43; up to 32% bonus &#43; GXP bonus &#43; Tronc The RoleThis role is a great mix of People, Training and Development, Recruitment as well as on the floor shifts. You’ll own the full people journey: from the moment a candidate applies to the point a team member is thriving in their career. At times you’ll be right in the thick of it, on the floor, in the action, and at the heart of everything that makes Albert’s Schloss tick.You&#39;ll work closely with our General Manager, Head of L&amp;D, and Head of Talent, managing a team of FOH Trainers. Whether you&#39;ve come from a training role or up through FOH management, what matters most is genuine passion for hospitality and people. The role is a mix of days, some late nights, and the weekend because that’s when our business comes alive, and so does the best work. If the idea of being on the floor during a busy Saturday service excites you, this role may be for you. What You’ll Be Doing Training &amp; Development· Building and owning structured training plans for new starters and existing team members· Tracking training records and completion on our LMS, keeping everything accurate, compliant and on target· Coordinating a rolling training calendar of internal and external sessions· Identifying training gaps across all departments and building smart plans to close them· Supporting menu launches - coordinating cook-offs, product training, and ensuring the teams knowledge is second to none Recruitment &amp; Onboarding· Owning the end-to-end recruitment process for hourly roles - from posting to offer· Working with department managers to set the brief, shape the process, and get great people through the door· Screening, interviewing, coordinating experience shifts, and keeping candidates in the loop· Making sure every new starter’s first impression of us is world class On the floor &amp; in the action· Delivering engaging first-day inductions and getting new starters excited from day one· Running practical sign-off observations during peak service - seeing training land in real time· Delivering hands-on training in product knowledge, service standards, and hospitality skills· Coaching and mentoring site trainers so your standards ripple across the whole team· Getting alongside department heads on the floor to spot opportunities and raise the bar People, Culture &amp; HR· Monitoring team turnover, exit interviews, and acting on what you learn· Championing engagement surveys and making sure commitments happen· Supporting promotion processes, career pathways, and one-to-one development conversations· Assisting with ER administration including note-taking and correspondence· Keeping an eye on absence, lateness, and wellbeing - spotting patterns early Who We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who has:· A genuine experience training bar and restaurant teams - you know the floor, not just the theory· A track record of developing engaged, high-performing hospitality teams· Real passion for nurturing our people from within and watching careers grow· The ability to lead and inspire - in a training room and in a packed service· Strong organisational skills to hold a lot of moving parts together without dropping any· Competent with technology and basic laptop skills· Someone who gets the rhythm of hospitality and wouldn’t have it any other way Rewards for your hard work· Bonus - earn up to 32% of your annual salary· 50% off at all Mission Mars venues for you and friends· Dreams Machine - enter to win money towards something that matters to you· Invites to our Christmas awards, summer BBQ, and football tournament· 24/7 free and confidential mental health and wellbeing support· Training and development courses at our Mission Mars Management Academy· Annual workshops at (secret) exciting locations· Manager conferences overseas· Trips to UK and international partners to grow your knowledge - and sometimes just for the adventure· A culture where your ideas genuinely matter Who We AreAlbert’s Schloss is part of the Mission Mars Group, alongside Schiller’s Hall Liverpool, Rudy’s Pizza, and Albert Hall.
